What we repair

Most denture breakages can be fixed

If your denture has cracked, lost a tooth or stopped sitting securely, it can usually be repaired rather than replaced. Here is what comes through the lab most weeks.

Cracks & breaks

A denture snapped in two or cracked along the base is one of the most common — and most repairable — problems. We rebuild the join so it holds.

Lost or chipped tooth

A tooth that has come away or broken off can be matched and added back, colour and shape kept in line with the rest of the denture.

Broken or loose clasp

On a partial denture, a snapped or bent metal clasp stops it gripping safely. We repair or replace the clasp so it seats properly again.

Reline for a loose fit

If your gums have changed shape and the denture rocks or rubs, a reline re-fits the inner surface to your mouth — often the real fix for soreness.

Worn or stained denture

Heavy wear, staining or a flattened bite can sometimes be addressed without a full remake. We'll tell you honestly which is the better value.

Not sure what's wrong?

Bring it in. We'll look at it, explain what's happened and give you a clear, written estimate before any work begins.

Before your appointment

What to do with a broken denture

Please don't repair it yourself. Household superglue is toxic in the mouth and almost always sets the pieces out of alignment, which can turn a simple repair into a full remake. Repair kits from the chemist have the same problem.

Honest expectations

Same-day where possible — and always a written estimate

Because the lab is on-site, many straightforward repairs — a clean crack, a single tooth, a clasp — can be turned around the same day if you call early. More involved repairs, relines or a denture that needs an impression may take a little longer.

We'll never start work without telling you the cost first. After we've seen the denture you'll get a clear, written estimate, and nothing proceeds until you're happy with it. If a repair isn't worth doing and a remake is better value, we'll say so plainly.

Common questions

Repair questions, answered

Can you repair my denture today?

Often, yes. Because the lab is on-site in Galway, many repairs — a crack, a lost tooth, a clasp — can be done same-day if you call early. Relines and repairs needing a fresh impression may take longer. Call the repair line to check before you travel.

How much will my repair cost?

Repairs start from €90 and relines from €150. The exact figure depends on the damage, so we give you a written estimate after we've seen the denture — and we never start work until you've agreed to it.

Should I glue it back together myself first?

No. Household and shop-bought glues are unsafe in the mouth and set the pieces out of line, which can turn a simple repair into a full remake. Keep all the pieces and bring them in as they are.

Are you a dentist?

No — Éanna is a Registered Clinical Dental Technician (CDT). A CDT can repair and provide removable dentures directly to adults 18+. Anything involving natural teeth or other treatment is referred to or done alongside a dentist.

Can you repair a denture you didn't make?

Yes. We repair dentures made elsewhere as well as our own. Bring it in and we'll assess what's needed.
